🎓 Congratulations, Class of 2025! 🎉

You’ve reached a major milestone, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate your accomplishments at this year’s Law School Hooding and University Commencement Ceremonies! As you prepare for this special day, please read all the information that is shared on this page as it has all the necessary details for your graduation experience.

Ceremonies to mark the conclusion of our graduates’ time in law school will begin with the David A. Clarke School of Law Hooding Ceremony on Friday, May 9th at 2:00 p.m. and will conclude with the conferral of degrees by President Maurice Edington at the University Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 10 at 10:00 a.m.

The Hooding Ceremony will be held in the Theater of the Arts (4200 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20008). The University Commencement Ceremony will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center (801 Allen Y. Lew Place NW, Washington, DC 20001). The combined events will hereinafter be referred to as “Commencement Weekend.”

To be approved to participate in Commencement Weekend, a student must be on track to have a minimum of 76 credits if you entered law school in Summer 2022 or later and 80 earned credits if you entered law school before Summer 2022 at the end of the Spring 2025 semester.
